At the last coffee morning, we ran a self defence class that everyone seemed to really enjoy. One of the women in attendance had this to say about the experience:
“I attended the free self defence class. I enjoyed it so much and found it very informative. It struck me when I realised how much we take for granted when doing simple things like going for a walk to the pub. The possible dangers are there; it is important to keep yourself safe and knowing how to do so is vital.
I recommend every woman takes a class like this to keep themselves protected.”
The coffee mornings – taking place on the final Wednesday of every month – put on a range of fun and informative activities, and offers the chance to come along to relax and chat with women with similar experiences in domestic abuse.
