Last year, we were thrilled when Saje was accepted for the Co-op’s Local Community Funding. This meant that: every time Co-op members bought Co-op branded products and services, 1% of their spend went to a local cause – like Saje. The money from this initiative built up over the period that we were are a part of, running for 6 months. Throughout the 6 months, Co-op members could choose which cause or enterprise their contribution would go to.
In April 2017, we received almost £2,900 from the Co-op members who chose us as their cause through the Community Fund. We are incredibly grateful for the wonderful generosity shown by the Co-op and their members; the money will go a long way to helping women across Fife.
The money raised here went towards the running of the Saje Groups and Saje Hub Cafes, easing the cost for things like venue fees, childcare for participants and Saje Programme materials.

A few months on from receiving the Co-op funding, we were contacted by a London-based production company who wanted to film a short advert on Saje as a way to raise awareness. We were selected from 9,000 other charities who won funding from the Co-op. In September, the production team visited our office and spent the day with us to film the advert. Throughout November and December, the advert will feature in cinemas, video on demand (digital catch-up tv), digital websites and social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube) as part of Co-op’s main campaign.
