We are thrilled to say Saje has been accepted for the Co-op’s Local Community Funding. This means that: Every time Co-op members buy Co-op branded products and services, 1% of their spend goes to a local cause, like Saje. The money from this initiative will build up for the period that we are a part of, running for 6 months. Throughout the 6 months, Co-op members can choose which cause or enterprise their contribution goes to. We’ll receive the funding at the end of the timeframe, and if members don’t choose a cause during the 6 months, the contribution they’ve built up will be shared equally between the other projects in the community. The money raised here will go a long way to helping run the Saje Groups and Saje Hub Cafes. It’ll help pay for things like venues, childcare for participants and the cost of Saje Programme materials.
